Default Where to get a z06 cam

Everyone says this is a good cheap can for a stock displacement ls1 for boost. But I cant seem to find one, I am going to be doing a set of stock, non ported 317s and PRC springs 7.4 CM pushrods and if I can find a 02+ z06 cam that unless someone can point me to another cam that will work well. I would love to have a little lope but performance is most important.

Those pushrods r going to be too small. you need 7.425" - which i have installed. worked perfectly.

I posted a want to buy which got me a couple hits. you can also join some vette sites.

Are there any identifying numbers on the LS6 cam? I bought a long block that supposedly has that cam in it. I pulled the cover and there were no numbers written on the end of it.

How is the idle with that cam, same as stock? I know it has like a 117lsa so it cant be aggressive even in a ls1

Its my thought that you just have room for the extra valve lift and or to help make up for the extra deck height of the other heads?

But what about Rockers? You said they work perfect, stock rockers and from the 317's or from your 241's?

I used stock rockers, i have been told by many that 7.425" r necessary for the more aggressive lobe angles on the z06 cam. if u dont, it will sound a little sloppy and not the good way if i recall what they said correctly - search the forum ull see what i mean . well since i have the heads cam pushrods in with the turbo with no maf atm the idle is a little choppy but it just needs to be tuned lol. when i had just the motor work done it sounded pretty stock
