Default Turbo 350 (short shaft or long shaft?)

I am going to switch to a turbo 350 and I'm not sure what I need? I am going to buy a used one and have it built by a local builder. What else will I need beside trans, converter, flex plate, and cooler? What kind of money can I expect to spend? Does anyone want rid of one or trade for a t-56 set-up?

You need a long tail shaft to reuse the stock driveshaft. You need a dipstick, crossmember and a shifter just to name a few things. I can get one fully built with all the good stuff for around $350 but I know the shop owner

Get the 9" tailshaft

Get one of these, too

The BMR TCC009 is the one you'll want

If you are going to use an electronic speedo then a short tail will be needed. I just got done doing one and it used the speedo stuff from a th400. I just needed a large hole tail to make it work. Vince

Here is what I have

TH350 with long tail shaft
stock driveshaft
UMI crossmember
Jegs tunnel mount torque arm
PTC 3800 N2O converter with built-in crank adapter
TCI flexplate
Lokar dipstick
B&M trans cooler
B&M Pro Ratchet shifter

I don't have my speedo hooked up so I use the RPMs to figure out MPH

I can get a TH350 for free and I'm thinking about throwing one in for comparison... I think it's a long tail.

My set up.

PTC rpmvb. th350
PTC SS3600 built for ls1/th350
BMR crossmember with torque arm mount as posted above.

My th350 was sent with the wrong tailshaft(short)
I just had the stock driveshaft lenghtened at a local shop. All good.
Stock 5.3 flexplate(misplaced my original one)
stock torque arm
Modified stock shifter.
B&M cooler

Love it.
