Default APS 346 dyno 599/543

After a long awaited install of the APS kit I finally had the car dyno tuned on the 18th. Car is pretty much stock except for Monster clutch, EPP FI cam, 60lb injectors, walbro pump. Ed Wright did the tuning and did a great job. I have yet to really put it through the paces on the street but so far drivability is great.

Jezzz, thats like 35rwhp per 1 psi, given you dyno'd around 315rwhp stock. Thats the highest Ive ever seen. congrats!

Excellent results! This is what the standard APS F-body kit is designed for, bolt it on to a near stock motor and make 500+ rwhp very easily, with great drivability. In your case, with a good FI cam and a tuner who knows what he's doing, ya get 600 rwhp.

Ed Wright tuning. You're from Oklahoma I presume? Sounds like a runner!

Another question..I have not dynoed my car yet hopefully this season. But another guy with 402, afr 225 heads and same cam as me a gt7 from lingenfelter got these numbers

"1.606rwhp -640trq - 7.6 psi. 91 pump gas"
Now very similar but why is the torque so much higher.Would there be that much more torque from the bigger cubes or does some come also from the afr heads? Not sure how similar the cams are.
Lingenfelter GT7 208/230 .554/.546 –121CL
I run 1.8s so have more like 590 lift and bit more duration. Not sure what that means for powerband or torque as said haven't dynoed yet.

And not trying to diss the numbers I think 600rwhp is fantastic for pretty low boost on a 346 with just a cam. assuming stock heads?

Also heard timing can make a huge difference in torque and the car above was running alc injection so maybe that also acounts for big difference in torque.

The cubic inch increase can account for a nice torque increase

Great numbers!!!

Not completely sure why the torque is higher but I would assume the cubic inches would have a large part to do with that.

I am running stock heads and 91 pump gas and this was done with a maf tune. The cam specs are as follows 232/240 .595/.608 115

That's Excellent Work!! I recently purchased my turbo kit from Kentucky Turbo. It will be here around the first of April. I also purchased my EPP cam (same as yours) for the kit setup and looking at what you have, i'm really looking forward to this now. If your setup is pretty much stock, my car should do over 600 rwhp, without a problem. Anxiety's building up for me. Man, that's truly worth the wait and congrats again.

That isn't much of a split..look at my cam and the split on it..Should have some dyno numbers this season to see how that one works out.
