on tuesday i was driving home from work. i pressed my clutch pedal in to hear a loud pop and have the pedal stick to the floor. i pulled the tranny and everything today to find the problem.

my question is could i do something to repair the pressure plate ? or do i need to buy a new one? and if so where can i get a good one thats not $300 i already have a clutch plate but will return it if i cnat find a pressure plate. thanks

That's it - Take the clip out and replace the throw out bearing - get one from Autozone / NAPA.

So easy even I can do it!

Same thing happeded to me. TOB flange broke right off and the pedal hit the floor.

Got a new bearing and tig welded the squareflange on to the cylinder. This should make it more resistant to this happening again. Should be able to do thesame thing with the round flange.
