Well, i've had my hooker super comp headers and the hooker 3" ory for about 4 months now. About a month ago, I finally got my hooker aerochamber muffler and the 3" chrome hooker tips. I'm getting a custom 3" catback done up as well. It will be a little more than 2 weeks before I do it, but I am so freaking ready for these mods to be put on. I am ready for the power increase as well as the difference in sound.
Right now, I just have the cats removed from the stock y and a chokemaster muffler. I have the ftp 85mm lid and slp maf and a p&p tb, and I figure the full exhaust should help out a good deal. I have heard that the hooker stuff is nice and quiet at idle but when you WOT, it sounds deep and mean. I hope so.

I have one and yes, it idles pretty tame but comes alive when you get on it.

I kinda figured since that is what seems to be the consensus about the hooker exhaust.

If it's not loud enough, add a cutout. That's what I did. I have a full Hooker exhaust paired with a Electric Cutout......best of both worlds

I love my hooker CB, It's loud enough for me a WOT, but tame enough crusing in 6th to talk to the passenger. Wait untill you add a cam it will get louder then too.

You will love it, nothing out there sounds like hooker exhaust, ive had the same setup on 2 different ls1 camaros now!
