Default Mounting amp HELP!

Hey tomorrow I'm bolting down my amp right above the gas tank....how do yall recommend doing it? Piece of plywood underneith? ideas!?

liquid nails some plywood underneath then screw into that

I mounted mine to the carpet using some nuts and bolts. The carpet is pretty thick so the amps have enough padding underneath them and the carpet is so strong I don't have to worry about the nuts ripping out.

I used partical board underneath carpet...works great

put a piece of wood down the side of the area, 1/8 inch will work and then carpet it with matchin or whatever color you would like, then mount it to that

^^ That would be ok if it fit right. The sides of the amp rack look like a kid cut them out.

i layed a piece of 1/2" plywood down and just layed the carpet on top of it. Screwed the amp down to the wood through the carpet. The carpet keeps the wood and amp from sliding around.

slvr20cam - did you buy that insert for your subs or did you fab it? Just wondering where I can find one like that for my single 10" sub...

sorry to bring back an old thread but.. how much room do you have between the tub metal and the gas tank. if i was to sink a quarter inch sheet metal screw into the bastard would i..uh..die or anything?

I made a bracket out of sheet metal.
The amp bracket is held down by the baby seat anchor bolts.
