New P.B. on Stock Shortblock. Finally made it to the track since recovering from Hurricane Ike. My car did get water in tranny and floorboard prompting me to start the Hvac removal and all the stuff under the dash, carpet and padding also. Old best in negative DA was 10.67@126. Da today was nowhere near that today first pass
10.77 @ 125.8
next was 10.70 @126
by this time Im thinking new best in worst air so I let er cool for a while and got a
10.62@126.26 with a 1.47
Im stoked and now and 10.5s arent far off so let her rest awhile and pull a
10.57@127.05 1.49
I was blown away for sure. This block has 100,426 mile on it with a little blow by, car was flooded but it still kicks ***. She has more in it with good air and a better 60' Ive got to see how far this motor will go. Who needs high dollar strokers?

Im leaving off the brake, there is room for improvment for sure. Im trying to get used to new springs and shocks up front. Im also running the stiff sidewall slick thats new to me. Car needs to be scaled too. Some better weather is comin in this weekend so Im trying for something in the 10.40's with a few adjustments and playing with the 2-step a bit.

Dont know what it was, but the weather coming in this weekend should make for better times. Got a cold front with some high pressure coming in. Wish I have 60's like you.

Jason, great new best man! It's been a while since I've heard from ya. Keep meanin' to drop by, but I'm rarely in town anymore as I live out in Beaumont now. Nice to see the SS beat out Ike and is still haulin' ***! PM me your number when ya get the chance, as I got a new phone.
