Default 4L80E: complete swap info wanted - sticky?

I have found bits and pieces with search - can someone post up:
what the exact differences are?
why it is stronger?
what year/models will fit f-body?
detailed swap info - parts list, modifications to car, etc.
thanks in advance!

Seems pretty straight - but is it really needed above a built 4L60E and at what power level?

I've had medium luck with rebuilt 4L60E so want real world replies on the value added from the swap
thanks!

I went through two 4L60e's and two 10 bolts with my old crappy LT1. I have a stock 4L80e and a custom built 9" and I dont have any problems breaking stuff anymore. 4L60e's are ok, but lots of guys end up having to at least refresh them each season.
