Default Time for some new heads

Hey guys I just found out that one of my heads has a crack somewhere in a bolt hole. So I am facing a delemia. Should I buy a used set of heads and get the car back running or save up for a while since the car is not going to be on the road till may and buy a ice set of heads. I was looking at the patriot heads they seam like a good deal at 899.99 for a set. Also doing this it would be a great time to do a cam swap. Has anyone used the patriot head before? Here is a link to the heads.

broken link. if your going to get used heads theirs no point just throwing them on the car. especially if the cars not going to be on the road till may. send them out to AI or LE and get it done right.

Nothing fancy. It's a stock casting head with over-sized valves and mediocre valve springs with zero portwork. You could replicate that exact same head using your own stock castings for much cheaper.

And for another $1000 you could have a set of fully assembled PORTED heads from AI or LE.

If you want a no-questions-asked set of heads for a stock or very mild cam application and aren't afraid to drop needless coin and don't want to do the assembly yourself, then they might be a good choice.

Alright looks like ill be saving for a while. My one head is gone and I don't think it can be repaired. There is a stud with jb wled in the bolt whole for the header. And that is where the water is coming from. So going with LE/AI heads is out because you have to send yours in. Might be looking at some dart heads for $1200. So right now its to my bike for school and bumming my bros focus when I need some wheels.

AI Ported Stockers get my vote. You should be able to find a decent set of cores for cheap, send them in and have them ported and slap on the car when they get back. If you have time on your side that's the cheapest / least hassle way of doing it.

The Trickflow chamber is too big for an NA 350.

I have seen no reviews on the Patriot LT1 heads but on the gen 1 motors I have seen some cool stuff like reported like valve seats coming loose.

It is cheap chinese garbage, simple as that.

Our heads are not a stock castings. They are our own castings with our 195cc intake runner. As far as "mediocre" springs, they come with our Patriot Gold springs that has been the best on the market for years. In fact every head or spring company is using a version of our spring on all of their LS heads.

This is new to us. We have not had a single report of an issue such as this. Our heads are built with US seats, US guides, Patriot Gold springs....far from cheap chinese garbage.

If anyone has a questions about these heads, please ask us and don't listen to here say information from uninformed sources.
