no meth on crappy CA 91 pump gas. there was oil blowing out the exhaust that was screwing up the afr reading, i picked up the motor used, the bottom end was very extremely dirty and there was fine metal shavings in the oil. it was just a ticking time bomb. but im not going to lie. i dont know much about this stuff.

could my piston melt like that because after it went the motor was idling for a while and i drove it around the parking lot on to a trailer and then off the trailer into the garage

piston looks like it chipped due to a lean condition. tops of the pistons were extremely clean looking, showing a lack of fuel. did you upgrade your pump and injectors at a minimum? maybe on the rebuild a wideband would help out on the tuning, if you did it yourself. what did the plugs look like?
