Pulling the motor, need some advice on internals
I do a little bit of racing(at the track) and some street driving. Its not a daily driver but I drive it at least once or twice a week depending on the weather. The car is a 93 Z with 125K on the clock. I installed a LT4 HCKit and noticed the front cam bearing had a little wear on it. So with out doing a full rebuild is it possible to just replace all the bearings and maybe the rings with some high quality peices?
Should I just have the cam bearings replaced? You have to remove the rotating assembly to do this am I correct?
what brands for the rings? And what is a good standard bore piston to go with? or do they even make aftermarket slugs in standard bore? I dont see any in summit.
Oil pump/ pump drive. What should I do here? Ive heard the stock drive is prone to failure in extream conditions. Dont want to take any chances. Stock replacement pump?
