turbo setup(so far) andy suggestions
ill post pics tomorrow comp is having a brain fart. so far i have a gt 40 turbo, 38mm waste gate, manifold log i built, ls6 cam, 8.1l marine injectors, scorpion fuel rails, intercooler and piping, ls6 springs. built 4l60e. im trying to track down a 2 bar map from the cobalt ss. i know i need a bov. what about fuel pump? 255lph? i have a msd boost a pump, do i need it? i want to run some 5-9 psi then later maybe switch things out and go for more. high flow cats or no cats? yes i have done searches. tired of reading the hundreds of forced induction entries. comment tips sugestions

upgrade your springs buddy... even tho you have a relatively tame cam, use the .660 lift springs with some ti retainers and hardened pushrods. the pushrods are a well known weak link in these motors and also there will be far more pressure on ur springs with the boost than the ls6'rs can handle. the guys on ls1truck.com all haave turbos and can answer any of these questions in seconds for ya... good luck

I would think that you might need a larger or a second wastegate. The 38mm might be a little small for your application though I could be wrong... If you stay with the 38 for now I suggest you set the boost to about 5psi and run the car and see if the wastegate can keep up to check for Boost creep.

i think its a 38mm the turbo also has an intyernal waste gate. but i dont know what its set at ill have to run the truck to findout then turn it up or turn it down the guy i bought the turbo from said he had it set at7 psi but i want to check it for myself
