MPH seems low for a heads/cam and nitrous car.

Yea that n/a MPH seems kind of low. I know of bolt on cars trapping in the 112 range so only 4 more MPH from heads and cam seems low.

Going from 112 to 116-117 is only picking up 40-50hp. I would be pretty pissed if I spent a lot of money on heads and cam and only picked up 40-50hp.

hmmm...honestly Im not really worried about the mph as long as my ET's are low. If it helps though...I still have stock gears. I know that putting in gears nets higher mph's.

All I know is, is that I drove my car to the track, drop the air pressure in the tires, and ran in the 10's on 17" rims in a full weight car.

btw I used to have a cam only lt1 with only 315 rwhp that ran 7.8 in the 1/8th with a 1.75 60' just dropping the air pressure in the rear tires as well. So dyno numbers and mph really dont bother me.

3rd running= bottle empty btw

thanks

Nice job, OP. My car is an M6 with H/C and I'm only trapping 117 because the car only makes 400 to the wheels. Every combo and every car makes different power and in different places, especially when you're talking heavily modded. Depends on the drivetrain and gearing, the quality/budget for the parts, weight, etc. He's not running TFS 215s and a Vindicator with a FAST 92 setup and he's running through a heavy drivetrain. There's a lot more to it than just saying "well, he's got a H/C car".

Yes I am spraying through the shifts. And I looked into a fast 92 setup...they are crazy expensive for what you get and I have no idea what a vendicator is or THF 215s. I would assume certain heads and cam setup.

All I know is, is that for my mods and my weight I am running pretty damn strong in my opinion. I have seen some cars with similar mods run faster and some cars with less mods run just as quick but the difference is that there is a difference. They might be running a crazy gear with all out slicks and skinnies. They might have a higher stall or are launching crazy hard on a m6. There is just sooo many variables that it is crazy. Im not trying to be whatever, Im just saying Im happy with what Im doing and I thought my numbers were pretty impressive...not like record setting or freakish just impressive.

Thanks,

pride
