From my experience, TCI's are not very good. They are an extremely cheap design and are ridiculously inefficient. My first one shredded a TC lockup clutch and the replacement, even though it didn't destroy itself, was a complete turd. I have no experience with Fuddle but I've heard a LOT of horror stories. Save yourself a lot of time, money and hassle and buy a good converter. Yank, Circle D, and Vigilante all have excellent reputations, as well as a few others which are all better than the two you listed. With a converter, you get what you pay for. Don't cheap out or it will cost you in the long run. I learned the hard way.
