Old Style PC Bracket???

Old Style PC Bracket??? I currently have the old style procharger bracket on my C5 as well as the intake that right into the radiator. My question is can I just get the Procharger radiator kit (to lay it back) and then make the rest... so intake that goes over the radiator, etc? I was told by someone that I cant because the old style bracket sits too low. That cant be because there is a wear mark on my hood liner from the blower touching it but I could be wrong.
I dont want to spend a ton of money on the car so the procharger intake update kit is out of the question (plan on selling the car next year).
