Default Has anyone ever modified their loudmouth exhaust to support a CME?

Was looking over a recent photoshop thread showing a fourth gen formula with a center mount exhaust. I currently have a LM1 on my car and I am not willing to change over to something else. I love the LM1 sound and build quality. I am wondering if anyone has ever shortened the length of the exit pipes (after the muffler) in order to attach a center mount exhaust.

Is this possible, i am sure it is, but I never like being a pioneer of experimental territory with my own car.

LMK what you guys got.

I had my magnaflow modified for my CME. It would essentially be the same for any catback. The shop just bent new pipes and welded them on past the muffler. I don't have any pics of mine but here is one with a GMMG.

Yep, I was just going to say that the pipes are just like ours out the back except routed around to the middle under the bumper.

68z28: Is that an equalizer pipe between the rear exit pipes, or just a support brace? (Not the one between the tips, but behind them) Because ironically I was wondering about "H" pipping CME, and CME like systems, if it would make it sound better or worse

This brings up a very interesting issue with my photoshop though Phire... That rear valance is not just to make the CME look nice for the tips, but to hide the pipe that routes to them!

EDIT: Actually... I don't think it would affect anything from looking at it again Since I went with putting the tips inside where the cover already is.... Hmm.... though that makes me think of another issue LOL The ACTUAL bumper. K I'll take this to the thread instead of hijacking your thread

That does look like just a support brace. I never noticed it in that picture. On my car, I did have them add two more hangers closer to the back of the car. They just bolted to the frame under the car and then tack welded them onto the pipe. I'm also deployed from home but I'll be home soon and will try to get a picture on mine.
