Default 95 LT1 383 to 97 Lt1 Timing cover

quick question, I have a 1995 383 stroker long block, all ready to go, I need to drop the timing cover off the 95 and switch to the 97 timing cover.. but I have a question, what else do I need to do to the motor? Is there a crank trigger I will have to add to the 97 crank?? Im pulling the 97 cover off this week end, I already pulled the cover off the 95 and have it ready to swap, but the 97 is the big unknown(till this weekend) I think its the reluctor needs to be moved... is this right??

Thanks

kevin

The only difference between the two timing covers is that the 97 has a provision for the crankshaft position sensor (OBDI cars did not have one). Other than that, they are identical.

Is this going into an OBDI or OBDII car?

+1. If you want to utilize the CPS, you have to add a reluctor wheel to the crank.
