Default Front tire choice down to three.

Hey everyone. I am fixing to change brake rotors/pads, shocks, and tires.
I currently have Nitto drag rears(315/35/17) and GS-D3's front(275/40/17). I love my GS-D3's and they have actually been on my car since 2004, but I am trying to save a little bit of money this time so here is what the plan is now.
M/T ET Street II rears

Fronts
Nexen 3000
Zeon 2xs
Federal ss-595

Any suggestions here on fronts?

Thanks everyone

Anyone? I searched but everyone just talks about traction issues and I am not putting them on the rear. The only tire I have had on the rear that had what I would consider good traction was a D/R. GS-D3 was the best I have had in the rear for a non D/R. Anyways, help me out here.

I wouldn't put anything special, because obviously with running a MT D/R you are not too worried about handling... I'd just throw a descent speed rated tire on there that looks good.

Nitto 555 would probably be my choice?

You can always try and find a used set... i bought 4 275/40-17 GS-D3's w/ good tread for about $400.

Otherwise, Sumitomo is alright... tho I hear they are loud and dont grip too well... but otherwise i hear they are pretty good! And for like $100 bucks for a brand new tire... kinda hard to go wrong.

Thanks for the replies but I guess no one really has experience with these tires. Seems most of the answers are hear say asnswers, but I appreciate the replies anyways. I think I am going to give the federal ss-595's a try at $107ea.
