Default Altenator hookup in a 76 vette

I have a 5.3lm4 out of a buick rainier. The altenator has the pigtail clip and one stud coming out. I read in the FAQ where some applications need a resistor/dummy light. Anyone have a clue what I need to do? Dont want to fry something.

I think that is only for earlier models. According to this thread
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...lternator.html

You don't need it if you are triggering the alt via the pcm like the original vehicle it came from did.

Cool thanks. I talked to speartech a few days ago. He said to just hook up the 5.3 harness to the altenator and then the red cable from my factory c3 harness to the one stud on the altenator.
