Default MAF question

Hey guys, just got my ported/descreened MAF today. Should I put it on now or wait for my intake/tb combo and a tune?

Wait for a tune, as the fueling will be off ... typically leaner and not as stable.

Well the car has already got a shitty tune, and it runs a little rich. At idle you get a slight smell of fuel standing behind it. Slight smell.

Your nose is not a wideband and further, most MAF changes will increase in % error as airflow increases. Just wait until you are re-tuning it.
