Default Rear prostars owners plz help

Sorry for another Prostar thread but, search has been screwed for a while on this end.

Im in the market for a set of rear Weld Prostars, but not sure what size to get for my 01 Camaro M6. Its a bolt on car and will get a cam soon. Also what size Mickey Thompsons should I go with? This will be a track setup only along with my front skinnies with kuhmo powers slots.

15x8 with 5.5 backspacing or

15x10 with 7.5 backspacing. how much grinding will both need or is one size gonna need less grinding?

What size tires for 15x8 and what size for 15x10? Im on a stock length MWC 9" rear with stock ls1 brakes. Thanks for any and all input

both need the same amount of grinding. Tires depend on your setup, you may want a stock height tire, or you may want a taller tire. Your hp level, rear gears, etc will determine that

stock 4th gen axle length calls for a 7.5 backspacing with a 15 x 10 prostar.

this is that size prostar with a 28 x 12.50 et street.

Thanks for the reply guys.

Id like to stick with a 26" tall tire due to being lowered a hair in the ***. Car will be a cam only car in the future and top out with hopefully mid 11`s. Its a 6speed car with 4.11 gear, full boltons and some suspension. Had a shitty outting sunday at the track with my shittos, 275/40/17, and the new 9" so im looking to upgrade now that I can actually launch without breaking. My mph is still pretty descent @ 116.xx now I just need a tire that can hook.

15x10's as suggested earlier.

If you want a better solution which will reduce your 60ft time and shorten braking distances, we can design our Bogart wheels to be a direct bolt on to your OEM brakes/calipers/rotors. Using our wheels over a set of prostars will be like dropping over 50 lbs off of your car!

On a side note, I would HIGHLY suggest not using your stock front wheels if you're using a bias ply ply tire.

If your going to be a cam only car, then there is no need to get a 15x10, get a 15x8 with a 275/50/15 et street. I have a cam only car and hook fine on these

Could possibly be...if you can hook on a 8 inch rim and radial then anything bigger is just extra weight. But he plans on going FI or something then he might wanna opt for the 10's

Not only do 8" rims look gay, they really limit your tire choices. I don't see why anyone would waste the time on only going with an 8" wheel.

I would be happy with 1.6 60'. before the 9" I was at 1.8-1.9 on stock rear wiht nittos. Last time out best was a 2.2, same tire. I am an m6 car and want to buy the right rim the first time. Does a 15x10 require fender rolling depending on the tire? ANy M6 guys step in plz
