I know. That is why I included both names. For those who didn't know and may have input. Did you read the OP?

Stock or modified 4L80e? 4L85e? Power, gears, tires? What year and from what original application? 4L80E TCC design changed over the years, custom converters alter this, custom valve bodies alter this. Etc etc. Such are the variables that make a difference.

Without any knowledge of the above variables I can say that you should use the datalogging feature with a laptop or their D200 / TCI logger and monitor TCC slip which largely provides the answer to your question in the logs itself.

RPM Stage V 4l80e 5 disk Precision converter 950rwhp 3.55 28/10.5/15

I spoke to Russ at PCS and he gave some tips for the lockup at the track. One thing he suggested is to make the lockup % per second 1000 or higher and the starting percent 100. This should make it lock up as fast as possible.

Given your application I would say that is wise. You still want to look at your logs for slippage and then you get into the details of which gears you are running through, when to lock it and if you hold lockup during shift events.
