How would a 500rwhp fbody do against these two cars assuming equal drivers?
a ~650rwhp 03 cobra
a ~580rwhp LS1 GTO

I'm going to venture a guess that it would get buttraped by either car. But setup has a lot to do with it, as well as what race it is. If the 500rwhp F-body is on bigs and little with good DRs and a big stall, and the other cars are on street tires and stock suspension setups, it could be ugly from a dig.

+1
OP - for the most part, the fbod will virtually have no chance. The ONLY chance it will have is if it has a MUCH BETTER dig setup and that's where the run is. Other than that...kiss yo ass goddbye.:chug:

Damn I was thinking the weight difference wouldve made it closer with the GTO

its not that much heavier...maybe if you had about 40 more hp it might be close unless your car is pretty light

LOL GTO's are not tanks man. There is about a 200 pound weight difference between my 06 GTO and my 99 Z28, that is nowhere near enough to make up for 80rwhp.

I can speak for the Cobra...it would ass whoop the 500rwhp fbody. I'm assuming that the fbody in this scenario isn't a gutted out drag car that weighs 2,800lbs with a 'glide, 28" slicks, skinnies, a 5,000rpm stall converter, etc.
