is there a good rear-end with a diff that can make turns
Well, I'm an AutoX-er and am woundering if there are any good feasible solutions for the non-straight-line-market (ie racing with turns)
What I'm looking for:
1. More solid rear-end
2. Rear-end not much heavier than stock 10-bolt (heard they made aluminum 9")
3. Need an excellent limited-slip diff... something that is compareable with the T2R for the 10-bolt... I don't want no mickey-mouse diff with clutches... I want gear-driven.
Anybody know of anything ?
From what I know, 12-bolts will not offer me any of the important requirements (2 and 3) with their spools or Posi Eatons diffs... even the Auburn is a joke.
Thanks for the feedback.

I heard a 9" with aluminum casting weighs 10lbs more than stock.
I don't mind having a bit more weigth if I can have an excellent diff.
For the weight, I'll just stiffen the rear springs a bit (get an extra 25lbs of spring rate) and just throw them on the coil-over.

The auburn pro has reasonably high preload for a clutch type diff. You may want to consider a fabricated 9" housing (try competition engineering for a housing), but you'll have to buy one and have it built up to fit your car. Or, Auburn has a "racers diff" with a different angle on the cones for more bite (not sure what rear ends they make it for).
Just thinking out loud....
