Default what series

anyone know what series gears I need 4 a 94 a4 ta ,has 273,s now and Im going with 342,s jegs brand , any opinions welcome,thanks..

You'll either need to step up to a 3-series carrier, or buy gears designed for a 2-series carrier.

so I need 2 series right? and also is it 7.5?

wouldnt have a part number for a 342 gear that would work do you ?

This is what I found for the jegs brand ones on their website, should be what you want.

p/n: 555-60008

GM 7.5" Ring & Pinion
3.42 Ratio
41-12 Teeth
For 3.08 Ratio and Numerically-Lower Carriers

7.5" and 7.625" gears are the same.

What skanitz1 listed will work. Why don't you step up to 3.73s?

I may go 373 not sure,will this gear also work, richmond 836-49-0007-1 ?

If your car will see strip time go with 3.73s..Richmond gears seem to have some whine, at least mine do.
