Default 235cc trick flow 408 hit the dyno!

BIG THANKS to brad and johnathan at XXX motorsports!!!
513.54hp 429.66tq uncorrected power.

408 iron block
11.7 compression
tea ported tfs 235cc heads
247 255 624 624 108ICL pat g cam hyd roller comp LSL lobe
super victor intake
1050cfm aed 4150 carb
ewp
1 3/4 x 3" headers
3" merge y into a 4" full exhaust. bullet and dynomax oval muffler.
th350
yank 8" race converter 5200 on the dyno
steel driveshaft
9" 4.33 gears, slicks.
unreal hp through an automatic. i was very happy with the results!
tq is a lil down, but i knew with the big converter it wasnt going to be huge anyway.
it will shine at the track.
made 495 through the full exhaust. took the stock replacement dynomax 3" muffler off the rear and it hit 501. with some tuning, i got 508, then a jet change in the carb spiked to 510, and picked up another 10 in torque.
im going to miss the lil dual out muffler, but its holding me back. i think ill put a dynomax 4" can muffler in its place and deal with the louder sound.

guess i should have mentiond the motor barely has 100 miles on it, and the dyno runs were the 1str wide open blasts.
should pick up another 10 or so with some milage on her.

the dyno sheet showed 50 something percent humidity. im not sure where its measured. its nasty out. wet and rainy. cool, but muggy. its like an all in one deal.
only 3hp off from corrected. weather couldnt have been to bad.

i was going to send you a PM this morning!
thanks for hooking me up with a cam that scoots!
peak power on the dyno was 7100. i had the shiftlight set on 7300.
i was going to play with shift points, but it was bracket and didnt want to go too far off the dial in.
would you try shifting it higher, or lower?

Certainly, I would give the motor what it wants. As always, try making one change at a time. Raise the shift points 100 rpm and see if you pick up. Keep doing this until the car doesn't gain any more, then back off to the previous best shift setting. Depending on the converter, you may go quicker with a lower shift point, but with that cam coupled with your high flow intake/heads, it's doubtful.
