Default Sumitumo HTZR IIs vs. Nitto NT05.

The Nittos are nearly 200 dollars more for a set then the Sumitumo's, but are you getting 200 dollars more worth of tires?

Does anybody have any experience with these two tires?

You're trying to compare two different types of tires. The HRZII is an ultra high performance summer tire. The NT05 is a max performance summer tire. Max performance summer tires are great for racing (IE SCCA). The NT05 will have superior dry traction but won't last as long (10K-15K). The NT05 has a reinforced internal construction and reinforced outer shoulder blocks. This helps with stability at higher speeds. Not to mention the continuous center rib is huge!
