Default 241 Heads question

Picked up a set of these heads basically because the mileage was alot better then my 98 heads...I also heard these are slighty better. Could someone explain why and how much...I did some searches and it looks around 5-10 hp more then the 853's? Is this true?

5-10hp is about right.

If you got the money you cant get them mildly ported which works great.
I loved my 241's in my WS6.

The intake runner is "slightly" differant, but mainly the runners where cast smoother. Ported they should be the same.

The 241's with the triangle casting marks the exhaust side of the head are supposed to be the best ones.

Default Ported 241's

I found a company that does good porting work on GM LSx heads for a good price. I've been in contact with them and their prices are great. Mike@CFM Performance.com. These guys do hand porting and i talked to a guy and he told me they do great work at a low price. An the guy that used him went 11.30's on heads that only flowed 280cfm!! Not bag..lol. I plan on using them mtself for either ported LS2 n/a heads or heads for an FI setup. But do a search on their site and you'll see how cool they are . Good luck and enjoy. Mike is the owner i think. And he's very knowledgeable.
Please feel free to ask me anymore questions if you need anyany. I'm hoping to get into the business more processionally instead of a hobby..lol.
Take care.

Thanks,
Dennis Moran

you can also use the 02+ mls gaskets instead of the graphites with the 241 heads.
