rebuild time! well I nailed it in front of a TBSS yesterday.. seen a little smoke on acceleration. So I'm pretty sure my rings are getting tired.. smoking a little on startup too (which I'm sure is either valve guides or this shitty PCV system)
hell I guess I could be the PCV system and not the rings.. motor only has 48,000 miles on it.
but I'm a hypocondriac and this will keep me from selling this car too
the question is this: I dont want/need to spend $600 on h beams some I'm looking a set of scat I beams for 299... coupled with arp2000s. Yall think these rod/bolts will be good for around 550hp and 7200-7300 rpm?
want to spend the good money on Diamond pistons and Total Seal rings.
going to run a stock crank and clevites/durbonds for the cam.
