I have a dumb question. Is it called Mity Vac or Mighty Vac? I have been calling around local autopart stores and they have no idea what im talking about.

Just refer to it as a hand operated vacuum pump...? If the parts stores you are going to dont know what a mity-vac is...maybe its time to explore elsewhere. haha.

lol i went to autozone and they had no idea what i was talking about so after about 5 minutes of arguing with them i told them to let me in the back to find it. Well about 3 seconds after i walk in the back i find it, grab it and look at the idiot that works there and he looks at and says "well sir that is a one man brake bleeder" which happens to be what it says on the package. At this point my patience are already shot so i walk up to him and show him the handle M-I-T-Y-V-A-C! Why is it that people that know nothing about cars or tools or anything insist on working in autoparts stores?

Hahaha... yeah. I was a manager at an Autozone here in PA for 3 years. We had an absolutely bad ass store. Couple old school older dudes that knew all sorts of weird tricks, some younger guys, and then a couple kids going to tech schools. No one even went to advance that just opened up. We were killing it. Then some of my guys left, and I left....and ever since its been painful to even walk in there. If I dont know part numbers, and exactly what I need, I dont even bother.

Im surprised those mity-vacs were in the back. They are usually in the tool isle. There is a little bottle that's usually labeled one man brake bleeder...but its just a catch bottle basically.

This POS.

It took me about 30 mins at my local autozone to purchase an optima redtop...I even came with the part number and pointed it out to the guy behind the counter.
