car got keyed...
So my car got keyed last fall and am trying to figure out the cheapest/best way to fix it. I have 3 6" key marks down the drivers side door. One of which has completely removed paint and the other two appear to be mostly clearcoat that his removed. How should i go about fixing something like this (aside from paying someone a ton of money to spray it)?

If you can feel the scratch with your finger nail it probably needs painted. however you could try to touch it up with a touch up kit from the auto parts store.. buff it and live with it or pony up the bucks and get it painted $200-$300 good luck!!!!

Dont want to say it but it needs repaint no matter what. you can touch it up with a touch up brush and the same paint then fill it with clear. Then sand smooth and buff but you will still see the line there. Best thing to do is paint the whole door. Wouldnt take long at all.

It happened at a Mall last fall. When i came out it had huge key marks in it. No cameras in the parking lot, no people standing around it, nothing. So i really had/have nothing to go on. But like i said i don't have the money to paint it... I think i might just try to pick up some gm touch up paint and see how she goes

So is the general consensus that if i try and fix the areas with touch up paint it is going to look like complete garbage? Ive never done anything with it before
