Catalytic converters Ok, I took my car into GM because the ses light was on. It turns out both cats are completely clogged and bad. They will replace them for free and the guy called and said "I don't know how you had any power at all this will really rob your power." "I think you will be surprised with what kind of power you have when we get it fixed." Could that be right? I got kind of excited and I don't want to have my hopes up if he is just full of it....

I was woundering the same thing. I took my car in becuz a ses light and they called and said my Cat/Cats where bad,clogged. So Iam hoping to feel a differance also.

yea they will hurt performance, but if you didn't notice your car running a little bit slower because they were clogged, i doubt you will notice it running faster because of new ones.
