Default Catalytic converters

Ok, I took my car into GM because the ses light was on. It turns out both cats are completely clogged and bad. They will replace them for free and the guy called and said "I don't know how you had any power at all this will really rob your power." "I think you will be surprised with what kind of power you have when we get it fixed." Could that be right? I got kind of excited and I don't want to have my hopes up if he is just full of it....

yea they will hurt performance, but if you didn't notice your car running a little bit slower because they were clogged, i doubt you will notice it running faster because of new ones.

There is an extended catalytic warranty because of premature failure. You can thank the EPA for your free cats.

Clogged cats real restrictive on the exhaust . BIG BIG HP increase because the new cats have a lower cell count.

huh? The reason he is getting free cats is because the EPA is enforcing GM's emissions warranty. If not for EPA, GM would tell him to lick *****.

Federal recalls are for the life of the vehicle. Even if the car is sold. If it wasent for the EPA cars would not have CATS. So screw them and the prius they rode in on.

!cats is usually one of the first things I'll do. Getting rid of them even makes a stock muffler sound better.
