Default problem after head and cam install need help

so i just finshed installing the mods in my sig, and today im driving it and it starts to overheat i try to get off into a parking lot to shut it off and right as i get to the lot it just hits the red line at 260. i shut it off and see no coolant leaks anywhere, so i let it cool down and hour and a half later get in it and drive it home and it heats up to 210 and stays there there the whole way home. I hope to god it didnt crack a head or anything what do you guys think? it seemed to run fine on the way home though.

Check your grounds. I had this same problem and had a loose ground by the driver side radiator.

Also, get a 160 thermostat if you don't have one already. Tune it to turn fans on sooner and that may help........a lot! lol

Agree, if it is the first time you have driven it since the swap it is prob. an air pocket. Did you bleed the system when you filled it??

If it was an air pocket you'll be low on coolant and/or the overfill tank will be empty.

i think it was an air pocket because i put about a quarter of a jug of coolant in today and drove it for about an hour total i guess and it just sat at 200-210 the whole time, and i already have a 160 thermostat
