Default Torque Managment question.

Does the TM only come into play when you are shifting gears (Auto car)? Or can it also come into play during WOT through the gear?

The reason I am asking is, when I am utilizing my 150 shot NX system, it feels like the car is falling on its face durring the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Also I can feel the car pul hard and then soft and then hard again during 3rd gear. It does that the whole time in third under WOT. I have no idea how the 3-4 shift is or if it cycles during 4th. I runout of track before then.

At first I thought I was slipping the trans during the shifts or spinning the tires. I also thought it could be the fuel pressure safety switch. I took it out of the system and tested it and it still does it. But now I am thinking it might be the Torque Managment.

So tell me what y'all think it is and how to fix it or if I even should fix it.

It kicks in when ever it detects the torque over the preset limit. So punching it from a standstill, shifting, or any other large swings in torque will set it off, also if you are producing more torque than the limit, will set it off.

Possibly. If it is, wait till you put the converter in. It'll be even worse. I just deleted it out of my girlfriends car a couple days ago with edit.
The killer was mostly during cruising upshifts. The car would fall on its face until you lifted the throttle a little. The wot shifts seemed normal until recently. I started experiencing the same "drop on its face" symptoms during 4-3 & 3-2 downshifts. It was like the TM got more sensitive over time. Weird. I deleted the TM and noticed a definite improvement.

I got rid of it by changing these in LS1 Edit:

1. Egn>Ign>max torque=639
2. Egn>Ign>torque reduction>zero'd the table
3. Trans calibration>A4 shift firmness>torque reduction>zero'd the table
4. Trans calibration>A4 shift firmness>upshift torque reduction>zero'd the table

When I asked how to do this, some people posted just 1&2. That didn't help my problem with the upshift and downshift surging until I also did 3&4.

Just another thought. Make sure your not pulling alot of KR for one reason or another. Hope this helps

Defintitely a big difference without it, plus the car is much more enjoyable to drive.
