Looking to re-paint my SS hood how much paint to get I'd like to repaint my SS hood this summer top and bottom. A nice piece of hail hit the hood last year and took a chip out of the corner and I recently fixed that issue and touch up painted it so it temporarily looks good from 5-10feet.
How much paint should I be looking to get? The bottom of the hood is still gel coated black, and the top aside from the one little spot still has a full clear coat.
I was planning to take the clear down, smooth out the one spot a bit more, repaint the hood red, then clear the whole thing.
Also what paint should I be looking at (urethane, poly.. etc), I can shoot the stuff pretty well and have a gun, compressor, etc but I have no idea what I need to be buying. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
