I've been told they were not, I keep hearing the term "LS6 Style Head" thrown around.

But directly from there site

Our custom 5 axis CNC machined new GM castings make these heads a must have for any performance oriented GM LS series engine. These heads provide up to a 65 cfm improvement over stock OEM versions.

I think they used the 6.0 heads back in the day. Now they use the 243. A buddy of mine has them and they are 243's

They use 243 GM casting, but they also used the 799 castings (aka: LS6 style heads) back when it was the development casting for the 243 heads. There are no knock off 243 heads, if they have 243 casting number or the marking of a 243 head, they are GM casting just modified on a CNC. Using a317 head casting would require milling the deck surface to equate similar chamber size as the 243/799.

They also used to use "035" castings with welded chambers. The nice part about those was the ability to get a small chamber without milling, retaining the factory deck thickness.

Patriot used truck heads and welded in the bowls to make the right size combustion chamber and called them "LS6 Style heads" The 243 castings are actual GM LS6 heads.

^ Those were the 035 castings like mentioned above.

Why do you care what casting number they are? The runners are all the same. I bought a set of those heads exactly as you did on the same sale a few years ago. When I got them they were 243s.
