Default Can i do.....??????????????????

I changed out my clutch bout a month ago....blahblahblah...i had my y pipe off when i cranked her up to make sure i put her back together, and when i did the sound was just incredible...

My question is...can i just get a foot maybe foot&half of 3inch stainless and connect it to my headers??

I mean i know i could always go xpipe, hpipe, xr1, or what not but i was just curious to see if this could be done. (and besides the pocket book and really wanting to put in a h,x pipe + pipe, + tips,)haha

thanks in advance guys.....

PS sorry if this sounds newb!!!

Hopefully someone will chime in here. The only real problem will be the O2's wont like the inrush of cool air after you shut the engine down. I'm not sure if 18 inches is enough to stop from wrecking O2 sensors.

Isn't running straight pipes bad for the exhaust valves? or maybe that was open headers...

Just run straight pipes all the way back. That's what I have, and it sounds ****** mean, and since it's not dumping under the car, it's pretty quiet.
