u need to relash them to zero and then add 1/4 to 1/2 a turn to achieve the correct preload on the valve. set to zero first then start your motor and let it warm up and readjust the lash to zero and follow with the 1/4-1/2 turn stated above.

100% incorrect, he asked the question like it was a old small block with a solid cam and you anwered him with the information of an old small block with a hydraulic cam.

You dont have to adjust the stock rockers, they are non adjustable. You need to torque them all to 22lbft thats it, when they are on the base circle (no lift).

Yep, Just tighten them down. Shouldn't be any valve cover clearance issues.

sweets10v8 i am with you but 22lbs is some times not enuff pressure to seat the rocker. I do it buy hand. Just tighten them down until you feel the rocker seat in the rocker pan. You will feel the rocker seat in the pan and the bolt will stop. Do not tighten the rockers to where you cant tighten the bolt any more though.

Not sure I understand your question, but the correct GM procedure for stock rockers is shown below. This assumes you have already evaluated and if necessary corrected the wipe pattern due to the difference in lift and also that you have measured and installed the correct length pushrods. Just using the standard 7.400" pushrods may not result in the correct setup.
