Ok I am looking this up for a friend, she has a truck and needs to have the tranny rebuilt, I think it is a 4L60E. it is a 1993 GMC Sierra K1500, please correct me if i am wrong.

the trans should be a 700r4 . . . i have a 90 sierra . . . wut size is under the hood 305 or 350???

I think she has a 350 5.7L, now according to autozone it is either a 4L80E if it is 4x4 or 4L60E if it is 2x4.

let me check alldata cuz i dont think they started using electronic ones till 95 . . . 94 camaros had the 700r4 as well. . .

really I was sure the 4th gens all had 4l60e mehh its the same tranny well haha nevermind same tranny shell. All data I hope thats not like pep boys parts look up cause that is wrong too. LOL

na . . . well n e ways there is this guy in la puente he is called the automan . . . he built the trans on my sierra . . . fully re built cost 1800 but thats cuz i wanted a lot more torque . . . im happy wit the result . .. he is gonna do my friends 02 SS nxt . . . gonna cost bout 400 and its gonna be a one day turn around

From what I have been reading for hers being a 4x4 its a 4l80e, which from my understanding when they switched the fbody over in 93 almost all gm platforms got the new electronic transmissions.
