my relay is clicking but nothing from the pump, car was flipped, can someone tell me the easiest way to wire the pump direct before i drop the tank???

Need to know what harness you have to say for sure, but this should get you started

This is the fuel pump relay for a 3rd gen f-body



Ignoring the majority of it, you see there's basically a 12V in and a 12V out to the fuel pump albeit mislabeled in the diagram (Relay failure not ECM)

Remove the relay and jumper the terminals; not being a 3rd gen the pins will not be the same, but the colors/functions should be if you are using a GM harness

Alternately you can use the test lead if your harness is equipped and you can locate it

sorry the car is a 2001 ws6 trans am. I was wondering why i was not getting a reply....if my relay is clicking... I must be loosing power after? Or would that mean that it is dead at the tank?

hmm clicking relay... id jump the relay and see if ur pump works...relays are sweet but can suck, id drop ur tank and fix your problem

yea i will likely have to drop it just wanted to see if i could isolate and make sure I have to drop it....I hate dropping tanks

R9 is the pin placement at the PCM
Red 9

Click means the relay is energized, your pump should engage. No sound = bad pump

so if 9 gets hot on key up something wrong in the tank...if not hot then just energize 9?

car took a hard hit thinking something may have been jared in the wrecked near the comp as to that was the area with the majority of the damage
