Question Floor shifter questions (Automatic)

I'm looking to install a floor shift in my '00 gmc stepside. I'm wondering about the various models, from Trailblazers to Grand Prixs, and which ones have a similar cable attachment and the same "throw"", so to speak, as mine. I like the Grand Prix automanual type bump shifter, but I'm not sure it would take the cable or if the throw is the same so all the gears will match up. I also wonder if the automanual is a mechanical ratcheting type or is it electronic?

Just throwing this out there- I know I probably wont get much response. I'll see if the local tranny guys will put up with me, but they're ******. So any ideas or guesses would be great. I wish I just had an old floor shifter here to goof around with.

thanks

And why does it keep showing that I have only 1 post????

OK I think I'm just going to get a trailblazer shifter and try that out. It's the safest bet. I really only posted this to see if it still says I only have 1 post...
