Default HKE L92 427 waiting to go in... dyno guess?

Just got my motor on Saturday. It will be a couple weeks before its installed and on the dyno, but to feed my excitement, how about some guesses as to my dyno #s? There will be no nitrous, so things like ring placement and piston specs were maximized for the NA application.

The mods:
  • 7.0 L92
  • TFS 235 heads
  • 254/262 112+3 (.646 lift w/ rockers)
  • Yella Terra 1.7 rockers
  • FAST 92 / 92 TB
  • 42 lb injectors
  • 85 mm MAF
  • 85 mm lid
  • Scat 4340 crank & I beam rods
  • Wiseco custom pistons, 5 cc relief
  • approx 11:1 compression
  • 15 lb flywheel
  • Moser 12 bolt 4.10s
  • 17x9 ZR1 wheels
  • N/A tune by Moe Bailey, no nitrous

540/510

Even for a 427, that's a stout stick IMO.

That's probably at least a 570-580 rwhp build if Erik touches it. Good cam size for a max effort build. Hope your tuner is a master!

When you get this thing up and running I wanna hear what a 427 sounds like (Im in Austin too). If you can get 550+ outta it I might skip boost....

Nice, those are the kind of numbers I'm hoping for, which I believe would translate into close to 700 hp at the flywheel.

Yes, the tuning will be key and quite a project. The guy I'm using came well recommended, just like Erik did.

Sure thing, it will prolly be a little over a month. I need to break-in the new clutch before the dyno tune, and I can't start wrenching until next week.

My girl friend is getting a motor by Erik similar to yours, but she will have a much smaller cam.

No... been busy with work and family stuff. Just my luck. But I'll post when its up and running, and more importantly, when I break in the clutch and get it on the dyno.
