TPS error code
Scanned my motor cause of engine light and says my tps sensor voltage is low. Is there a special way to install the TPS? Or would you say the TPS sensor is bad. I bought a voltmeter to test is but I cant seem to get any volts out of it. I saw that you want it to be .670? From the golen engine website. Any help and input would be appreciated.

So I broke down and bought one and mine was just bad. I did have to slot the sensor and lower the voltage because just on it was at nearly 1 i think it was .97 volts. So i adjusted the sensor so its .670 volts like golen said with no throttle. I havent checked the voltage at WOT throttle I will check that. but if my voltage is lower that 4.75 am i trully not getting WOT?

i never knew how important it is to have the right TPS voltage ...yeah intresting thread,,, so if ur not getting the required voltage at idle or WOT, does this mean u have a bad TPS or is that it only requires adjustment ?

To be honest I didn't kno the importance till my engine light came on and it was having a rough time starting. Hopefully this clears up the starting issue excited to try it out. After this and welding up my new mufflers I think it will finally be street worthy. Not quite strip ready. Maybe by summertime I will actually get to bring it to the track.
