Default Finally got the car out as a stocker!

Well to start I would like to thank Allan Futral for one hell of tune my car actually idles It is so dead on its like gm tuned it. I am so glad he got to tune my car. It ended up putting down 424 rwhp so not to damn bad for what it is.

Okay as for the car as most of you know I now am running stock eliminator I'm in C/S which has an index of 11.65. The motor is kind of a cam only motor with stock 853 heads no porting, stock ls6 intake no porting, stock from the factory t/b,stock compression ratio, stock rockers, the cam duration is changed ,but lift must stay under.515 which mine is .510. The motor is .020 over and .070 is allowed. It has a stock crank also.It has a Jerico 4spd now with a 5.38 rear gear. For more info on stock you can go to nhra.com.

Okay for the track I only got one pass before bending the torque arm which is an easy fix ,but the car blew the tires off 1.53 60 foot and went 10.82 at 123.97 thats .82 under the index which I am extatic about for my very first pass. I can't wait to get back and get it to hook.

We did do the motor ourselves and I did pick the cam out also. I really didn't think the car would go this fast just yet so I am really excited and proud to say the least.

More to come

Timmy

Class record stands now at 10.35 at 128. I know I'm not at all close to that ,but I know from that one pass this car will go 10.60's pretty easy in good air.

No videos John sorry

It has to weigh 3245 with me in it for class.

So 3250 is what my raceweight was

Congrats on the first outing Tim. You know it will be a challenge but I'm sure you'll have fun with the car in stock eliminator. Keep us posted!

So I take it that the class rule you have to run stock cylinder heads for the year? (Curious about the 853 castings opposed to the 241s)

Sounds like a cool class, I'm sure you'll be very competitive in it.

I can run the 241's I just had 853's already. They even have the stock valves still. Really like I was saying its basically a cam only motor .020 over bore. With stock t/b and intake.

Awesome results for the first time out. Get that sixty foot down in the upper 1.3's and that thing is gonna rip. Good luck getting it dialed in.

Can you run a rev kit in this class and loft the cam. Run zero lash on the lifters. We've done it in the past on these motors with a class restriction like your lift rule. 8,000 rpms sounds killer while still fitting the class rules.

Quick Reply: Finally got the car out as a stocker!
