Default Steering wheel controls, will they still work on aftermarket

Will my steering wheel radio controls still work if i take out the stock deck and put in another, is there some attachement or anything to make the buttons still work how they are supposed to ?

They will not work unless you use an adapter and have a head unit that comes with an infared remote. The adapter is the PAX swi-x (I believe i got that name right - its something like that). Very easy to hook up and works well.

It is PAC SWI-X. Go to yahoo and do a search on that term alone and look for the best price. I can not remember off the top of my head where I got mine at, but it only cost me $57 shipped. I remember I got it from audiooutfitter.com. they were the cheapest that I could find..but there may be cheaper places.
