Here's the deal, I did just under 3yrs in the Navy and got a conditional release to join the Army. I was under the impression I was elidgable for my E4 already but S1 is saying I'm not because I only have 17 months in service. My ERB for the Army shows DIEMS and PEBD as 20060426. My big question is why does my Date of Rank show the day I joined the Army? I've been wearing E3 since October 2007 and have my promotion papers to prove it. Why wouldn't DOR carry over? I actually had E4 in the Navy for a couple of months but the Army took that away when I switched over too.

sounds like your getting F'd E-4 is automatic at 2 years time in service now that does not matter if it was the navy or not any other branch you should have came in as a E-4. Your date of rank is the day you joined the army because thats the day you got that rank since you havn't progressed yet, yeah i would get with your CO or first sergeant and see what the deal is. because i got a soldier that was in the navy for 3 years i think and he came in as a specialist. so i dont know what your deal is but your time in service should be the navy and the army's added together. i dont know if that helped
