Default advice on tires for 17x11 wheels

need advice as stated please i just got 2 17x11 zr1s to match my 4 17x9.5- generals on the front and m/t radials on the back 2...i am looking for a all purpose tire in a 315/35-17 that will hook up ok for 400hp and corner good as you see i dont nessacarially need a drag radial but for example a nitto 555r will give me what im looking for then im ok with that...m/t's are the only drag radials ive ever own and im not fond of the squammy feeling when cornering.

advice on which tire with best place to purchase would be great thanks.

Probably the Kumho XS or Nitto NT-05 are your best bet for a street tire.

I seen one guy had some Kuhmo XS's in a 335 and it looked amazing. Looking at the tread wear rating it looks like they would hook very well as street tires. May have to break out the mini-sledge though.

nitto NT555

i have them on the back of my ride and they are awesome. very firm in the corners (unlike the nitto DRs i had) and the traction is decent.

if you drop the hammer below 10mph you're gonna fry them. but feather the throttle a little and you're good.
i can launch at about 2200rpm and they chirp a little, and then feather the throttle to keep them planted.

although i'm looking at those NT05s for my new fronts....they look damn sexy!!

I vote the 555's or NT-05's. The NT-05's look to be the best of both worlds for what we need. Great deal right now on them, 5% off list price thru Discount Tire Ebay store, sale ends in 4 days, ordered a whole set 275's/315's for $700 shipped to my door. They will going on my ZR1s too, go for it bro, they look pretty sweet.

i have the vredesteins and while they are a fantastic all around tire, you would probably be more happy with the 555's
