Conversions & Hybrids - 63' Nova wagon 4.8 cruiser?

Well fellas since my pop found a 67' 2dr w/ hiedt's frontend for cheap, we have decided to toss the LQ4/th400 into that.

Because of this I have decided that the wagon should be made into a simple beach cruiser. My thoughts are an injected 4.8 w/ a baby cam and rebuilt 4l60e then just freshen up the stock 8.2 rear.

The goal will be maximum reliability, comfort and great mpg. What do u guys think? Any suggestions? Anyone in the L.A. area know where Ican pick up a complete dropout/trans & ECU for cheap?

Sounds like a cool project. I got my LS1 take out from Craigslist for $1100 and picked up a core 700R for $30. I didnt want a computer tranny.
