Default Do big cams need alot of fuel on startup??

I was told that a big cam like a MS3 need lots of fuel upon start up to keep them running..

Is that true??

I have found that with big cams that you need more air on startup to keep them running. On mine that was the problem with the hot start idle. That cam is bigger than mine but it's the same principle

Not just big cam cars, but all need a little more fuel at start up especially in winter time, Kinda like choking a carb motor....

Short answer is yes.. But not as much more as you would think.

They may need more fuel, but first thing a cam does
is whack the speed density airflow estimate so you
might be getting more fuel than you need (or not,
but usually).

There will be a few passes of tweak-in involved,
unless you've got a dead-match-for-hardware
"donor tune".
