Assuming it's a 4th gen F-body, just raise the car, support the axel assy with a floor jack, unbolt the shocks at the axel & lower the axel. It will come down just enogh to be able to get the springs out.

why would you want to remove the rear springs while at the track? this makes no sense at all.

GREAT so you know a lot of racers that swap from stock v8 springs to stock springs at the track. give me the roll eyes smiley. cute. A better question would be that you want to swap from lowering springs to stockers for better weight transfer instead of your cryptic writing.

I really don't understand giving someone a hard time for asking a simple question. It brings nothing to the discussion whatsoever, only serves to show what a smart dude you are

thought the guy was asking to remove the springs all together to race at the track on the bumpstops for some reason. again stating that his question was unclear since he heard about it "at the track all the time".

sorry for my "cryptic" writing but I thought it was pretty common sense that you don't remove the springs to run at the track...my bad.
